Janesville Residents got to hear from Government Professional Solutions, the search firm aiding the the cities manager search, at an open forum Tuesday night.
GPS Representative Chris Lowe said that over the course of the day he heard a lot about what residents want in their next manager, including someone who is collaborative and open to partnerships.
Lowe said Janesville will be an attractive job opening because of the size of the city, the schools, and the revitalization to downtown.
Lowe also said the this job isn’t a starter job, and whoever comes in won’t have to fix things and there are exciting things happening in the city.
GPS says they hope to have a candidate ready for the city council around February of 2023.
