Cases of a respiratory virus that largely affects young children are on the rise in Wisconsin.

Rock County Public Health Officer Katrina Harwood says RSV is making a resurgence following two years of increased precautionary measures due to the pandemic.

RSV is a common respiratory virus that causes cold-like symptoms, but could be a concern for children, infants, and elderly people.

Getting a flu shot and COVID booster and taking other precautions can help kids and older adults most at risk from RSV.
