A single family home on Beloit’s near west side is heavily damaged in an evening fire. Beloit fire officials say smoke and flames were showing from the home in the 1400 block of Sixth Street when firefighters arrived a little before 11:00 p.m. Thursday. The Rock County Emergency Dispatch Center reports additional firefighters from South Beloit, Town of Beloit, and Janesville also responded to help. Officials say no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
