The final day of in-person absentee voting in Janesville happens today at city hall.
City Clerk Lori Stottler says polls are open from 7:30am until 5:00pm on the fourth floor in room 416, and registered voters will need to bring a photo ID to vote.
Stottler says if people need to register, they can do so on location before voting by providing a photo ID and a valid proof of residence showing you’ve lived in Janesville for 28 days leading up to the election.
Stottler says that while in-person absentee voting can be useful, she hopes that it doesn’t become the practice for those who may be confused about their polling place and instead urges people to find their polling location before heading out on Tuesday.
