The 19-year-old Janesville man accused of stabbing a woman multiple times last month makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court.
Last Friday, Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer set cash bond at $500,000 for Asher J. Spitz on a single charge of attempted first degree intentional homicide.
Janesville Police were called to the 1000 block of north Osborne Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. on October 19th.
According to the criminal complaint, Spitz stabbed his blind father’s caretaker multiple times because voices in his head told him too.
The woman barely escaped with her life.
Spitz is due back in court for his preliminary hearing on November 14th.
