A 57-year-old Janesville man who’s facing a half a dozen charges after being accused of physically assaulting an 84-year-old person that he lives with makes an appearance in Rock County Court.
Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer presided over Gregory Ferge’s preliminary hearing Monday afternoon on charges of first degree reckless injury, false imprisonment, strangulation and suffocation, physical abuse of an elderly person, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct; all with crime against an elderly person and domestic abuse enhancers.
Ferge waived his right to a preliminary hearing and his attorney Ryan O’Hara entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.
According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police responded to a home on the 3000 block of Autumn Lane to investigate a call about a disturbance shortly before 3:00 the morning of October 18th.
Ferge is accused of slapping the victim, pinching their nose so they couldn’t breath, stomping, pulling their hair, and kicking them in the face.
