A 31-year-old Beloit man accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in January takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.
Christopher Grider plead guilty to a single count of repeated sexual assault of a child, and had a second charge of first degree sexual assault of a child dismissed but read into the record Wednesday afternoon.
Retired Judge James Daley, who was filling in for Judge John Wood ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
Grider is currently serving a three-year prison sentence in the Doge Correctional Institute in Waupun after having his probation revoked on burglary and theft convictions from 2011.
He faces up to 40 years in prison and a 100,000 fine at sentencing on the repeated sexual assault of a child charge.
