ECHO’s plans annual turkey giveaway

This Saturday marks ECHO Janesville’s Annual Thanksgiving Basket distribution event.
Executive Director Jessica Locher says they’re doing the handout a little different this year, with the handout taking place at their Janesville offices from 8:00am until noon and will be giving out the dinners for the whole four hour period.
Locher says low income families will get a traditional dinner that includes turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, and pumpkin pie.
Locher says there are only a few spots left, so those interested will need to provide a photo ID, proof of Janesville address, and proof of income to the ECHO offices before Saturday.
ECHO expects to hand out nearly 600 Thanksgiving meals to low income families at the event.
