The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Officer releases the name of the 66-year-old Evansville man who was killed in a two vehicle crash in the town of Center over the weekend.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and County Road H at about 11:00 Sunday morning.
Investigation determined an SUV driven by a 36-year-old Beloit man, was turning westbound onto 14 when it was hit by an eastbound car.
The driver of the car, Bradley Shoemaker was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Medical Examiner’s Office says preliminary results of the autopsy indicate that Shoemaker died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield the right of way and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
