Those who enjoy Janesville’s parks can now give back so future generations are able to enjoy the cities recreational opportunities.
Recreation Director Shelley Slapak says they are taking donations for the Parks and Recreation Legacy Fund, which helps maintain and upgrade the cities parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities.
Slapak says those who want to donate can go to the city of Janesville website and heading to the recreation page, which will provide a link to where they can donate.
The fund was established in 2021 through the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
