Residents of Rock County can soon expect their property tax bills in their mailboxes.
Rock County Treasurer Michelle Roettger says the courthouse will be closed December 23rd, 26th and 31st, so people need to plan ahead if they plan on dropping of their payment at the courthouse.
Roettger says people can also pay their property taxes with a credit or debit card as well an electronic check, but there is a convenience fee for each.
Roettger says if they use a credit card its 2.29%, a debit card is $3.95, and a electronic check is a flat one dollar fee.
Municipalities need to mail out property tax bills by December 19th, and the first due date isn’t until January 31st.
