The Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center is a major issue facing the community and the Janesville City Council. As the community and council ponder the future of the center, many questions remain unanswered.
The Rock County Citizen Civics Academy will host a special public forum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8th, at the Italian House Restaurant, to try to sort out fact from fiction and bring some sense of reality to the question of how much the project may cost taxpayers and what the council will need to understand to make this critical decision.
Host Rich Gruber will interview a panel consisting of Acting Janesville City Manager David Moore, city council members Heather Miller, Paul Williams and Michael Jackson, County Board Supervisor Connie Winter, and WCLO Radio Host Tim Bremel to learn what data has driven the council to the point where they are expected to declare their intent to borrow $15 million or more for the project.
