A narcan training course at the Beloit Public Library Monday afternoon hopes to help people understand how to battle opioid overdoses.
Vivent Health Prevention Specialist Brooke McKearn says all in attendance will receive two doses of narcan and will be trained on how to use it and how to spot and opioid overdose.
McKearn says a lot of people still don’t know what fentanyl is and overdoses aren’t limited to just young people or people fighting addiction and carrying narcan can save people’s lives.
If people would like to register for the 1:00pm class they can visit the Vivent Health or Youth 2 Youth websites.
