More than 1,800 Special Olympic Wisconsin athletes and coaches will descend upon UW-Whitewater next June for the 2023 State Summer Games.
Director of Camps and Conferences Morgan Anderson says the opening ceremony will be held June 8th, and then competitions will be held on the 9th and 10th.
Anderson says UW-Whitewater has a priority mission to serve individuals with disabilities., and Whitewater’s facilities on campus make it a great fit for the games.
Anderson says they will be looking for people to volunteer and help for the games, and more information on how to do so can be found at the Special Olympics of Wisconsin website.
