A survey of nearly 1400 people in the School District of Beloit finds a majority of people are not happy with how the district is configured.
Superintendent Willie Garrison says respondents of a recent survey preferred a traditional model of 4K through fifth grade in elementary school, grades six through eight in middle school, and grades nine through 12 in high school; or another model including a 3K/4K learning center, an elementary school with grades K through 5, a middle school with grades six through eight and a high school with grades nine through 12.
While 50 percent of respondents preferred the traditional model, almost 40 percent liked the second option better.
