A 41-year-old Whitewater man who was arrested last year for illegally hunting deer in the Janesville City limits takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.
In November of 2021 Jason Kline was cited for trespassing, bow and crossbow hunting restrictions, and discharging a weapon in the city limits.
According to a news release, on November 3rd of 2021, officers responded to complaints of possible hunting violations near the landfill.
D-N-R wardens and Janesville police worked together in making the arrest.
Kline failed to appear in Rock County Court Thursday and Judge John Wood entered a plea of no contest to charges of trespassing and failure to complete registration as required. He was ordered to pay a $343 fine.
Additional City of Janesville ordinance violations of bow and crossbow hunting restrictions and discharging a weapon in City limits were dismissed.
