A death investigation is underway after a body was found in a downtown Janesville park. Janesville police say two people found a man appearing to be asleep on a wall, but unresponsive, in Volunteer Park on North Main Street about 6:30 p.m. Monday. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police say the body showed no signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected. The man is described as a white male between 40 and 50 years-old. His name will be released after family can be notified.
