Blackhawk Technical College’s President is excited about what the school has in store for the future.
Tracy Pierner says they’re going to have their first graduates out of the Rock University High School program graduate with an associate degree before their high school diploma.
Pierner says the four students graduating will be the first group that started with Rock University High School as freshman.
Pierner says they’ve seen a nice growth at the college, with the majority of growth coming from two areas: companies sponsoring students to take classes at BTC and 18 to 19 year old’s recognizing Blackhawk is a good place to start their college careers.
Pierner says they’re seeing an 18% increase in enrollment for the upcoming semester.
