Homicide trial of former Wisconsin Badger football player continues for a second day

Testimony continues in the jury trial for the 36-year-old former Wisconsin Badger football player, who is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the deaths of two women, in a dispute over drug money.
Wednesday morning, 36-year-old Marcus Randle-El’s attorney, Michael Hart, questioned Janesville Police Sergeant Benjamin Thompson, who admitted to spitting out sunflower seeds at the crime scene.
Hart had Thompson confirm that it was his sunflower seeds that were found among shell casings, blood swabs, and victim teeth.
Randle-El is accused of shooting Seairaha Winchester and Brittany McAdory to death in Janesville in February of 2020 in a dispute over drug money.
He’s charged with two counts of first degree intentional homicide, operating a vehicle without consent, and possession of a firearm by an out-of-state felon.
His trial is expected to go until next week.
