The 71-year-old Beloit man who was arrested in Iowa in October by the U.S. Marshals Service after he failed to appear on child pornography charges takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.
Michael McMahon was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography in February of 2020 after a search warrant executed on his home turned up child porn on thumb drives.
Police say he admitted downloading child pornography on his computer and stored those downloads on thumb drives.
The investigation into McMahon was part of a nationwide investigation of a fee-based commercial child exploitation website.
On Wednesday McMahon plead guilty top a single count of possession of child pornography and the second count was dismissed but read into the record.
He faces up to 25 years in prison at sentencing on February 23rd.
