Rock County non profits, faith based, or local government agencies can now apply for more Emergency Food and Shelter Program dollars after a new round of funding.
United Way Blackhawk Region President and CEO Mary Fanning Penny says the county has been awarded more than $66,000 and people can apply for funds by visiting their website.
Fanning Penny says on average they usually see between 8 and 12 local recipients of the grants, and organizations will need to substantiate why they are asking for a certain amount of funds.
The deadline to apply for EFSP dollars is Monday, February 27th at 5:00pm.
