A Beloit teen accused of shooting a 19-year-old to death in September of 2021 in a fight over a girl needs more time to consider a plea deal.

In Rock County Court Friday morning, Attorney Jason Gonzalez asked Judge Karl Hanson to give 17-year-old Dante Wilson another court date next week.

Judge Karl Hanson allowed Wilson to have until February 8th to consider whether or not he wants to accept the state’s offer.

A jury trial is scheduled to start March 2nd.

Wilson is charged with first degree intentional homicide, possession of a firearm on school grounds, and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.

Wilson was 15-years-old at the time of the crime and he was arrested with a loaded gun in his backpack at Beloit Memorial High School.
