A 19 year old Beloit man who led multiple local agencies on a high speed chase through Beloit over the weekend makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court.
Davon Collins appeared in front of Court Commissioner Jack Hoag Monday afternoon, who set a cash bond for $2,500.
Attorney Richardson Paye argued for a signature bond or a much lower cash bond, citing Collins’ close ties to the area as a reason to believe he’ll appear in court.
Collins faces charges of eluding an officer after he and Antwone Lockhart reached speeds of up to 80 miles an hour while fleeing police on Friday.
Both young men were already wanted on outstanding warrants.
Collins will make his adjourned initial appearance on March 1st.
