Citizens will get an extra few days to file their 2022 income taxes this year.
Because April 15th falls on a Saturday this year, and Monday April 17th is a federal holiday, taxes are due on Tuesday, April 18th.

Fischer says federal income tax returns are expected to be a lot lower then they have been in recent years due to pandemic-era tax credits expiring.
