The final development plans for a new apartment complex along Myrtle Way in Janesville were approved by the Janesville Plan Commission during their Monday night meeting.
Senior Planner Brian Schweigl says there was only one notable change from the preliminary plans, which was the installation of a 5 foot tall, nearly 600 foot chain link fence on the west property line.
Schweigl says there were concerns raised by citizens about on street parking, so the city conducted a two week long study and found there were typically 5 or fewer vehicles parked along Myrtle Way and on street parking isn’t a concern at this time.
The proposed apartment complex would contain 219 units with a mix of studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom floor plans.
