Rock County’s newest confectionary manufacturer is about ready to getting rolling in Milton.
The nearly 400,000 square foot Clasen Quality Chocolate factory on Putnam Parkway in the City of Milton is nearing completion.
City Administrator Al Hulick says the Madison-based confectionery producer plans to employ about 60 people in phase one.
Hulick says it may have taken a while but the building is up and running and the rail line is completed.
Hulick says the company plans to eventually expand the building up to 2 million square feet which would make it the biggest building in Rock County.
