Local communities work to get ahead of predicted winter weather Thursday night.
With snow showers in the forecast after 4:00 p.m., the town of Beloit and the City of Janesville are declaring snow emergencies.
The town of Beloit’s snow emergency goes into effect at 6:00 Thursday evening and runs until 11:00 Friday morning.
The City of Janesville’s winter weather emergency goes into effect at 4:00 Thursday afternoon and runs until 6:00 Saturday morning.
Vehicles found to be parked on municipal streets during a snow emergency could be subject to a ticket or a tow.
