Beloit school board candidates talk enrollment, referendums

The three candidates running for seats on the Beloit School Board this spring got the chance to talk about issues facing the district at a candidate forum Wednesday night.
On the topic of addressing the district’s declining enrollment, Ryan McDonough and Brian Nichols say the district needs to focus on providing teachers with what they need in the classroom.
Amiee Leavy says the district needs to continue to highlight the good things happening in the district make it attractive.
All three candidates discussed the referendums on the April ballot, with Leavy issuing her support for them while McDonough and Nichols say they didn’t support the referendums as they were.
The election is April 4th.
