The Janesville City Council officially approved the employment of Kevin Lahner at Monday night’s meeting.
According to contract documents Lahner will make $225,000 per year in his new role.
Lahner will also receive $600 a month as a vehicle allowance to purchase or lease a vehicle.
According to the contract the city will also reimburse Lahner up to $10,000 to cover things like moving expenses or the sale of his current primary residence.
Former city manager Mark Freitag made $176,000 a year at the time he left for a job in Westminster, Colorado.
Lahner officially begins his tenure May 8th.
