Janesville’s City Compost and Clean Fill Facility will soon be open and operational for the season.
Solid Waste Manager Matt Robinson says the facility opens March 20th and will be open 8:00am until 7:00pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am until 5:00pm on Saturdays.
Robinson says grass, leaves, and garden debris may be deposited into the compost site, while things like brush, branches, wood chips and approved construction debris will go to the clean fill facility.
Dumping into the compost site is free for only Janesville residents, and a per cubic yard fee will apply to items deposited into the clean fill facility for both residents and non residents.
