A Wisconsin Business World program at CareerTek in downtown Beloit Wednesday is giving area students a taste of what it takes to run a business.

Senior Director Michelle Grajkowski says students will build a business from the ground up, elect a CEO, come up with a prototype, determine a target audience, figure out their budget; and then present at the end of the day.

Grajkowski says programs like this are important because they show students that a business can be started anywhere regardless of zip code, and all the tools they learn are things employers are looking for.

South Beloit and area home schooled students will be taking part in Wednesday’s program.
