Janesville police may have an idea of who’s responsible for gunfire in a west side neighborhood over the weekend. A police department news release states persons of interest have been identified in the incident about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North Walnut Street. Witnesses in the neighborhood reported hearing multiple shots. Police found a house had been hit by several bullets and twelve spent shell casings were recovered. The suspects were seen driving a white, newer model SUV. Officers have also gathered video from the area. No one was reported hurt. The investigation is considered active and open.
