What started as a celebration of children in Mexico has expanded to become an annual event at libraries around the United States.
Hedberg Public Library Community Engagement Manager Rene Bue says this year’s Day of the Children event will be co-sponsored by Premier Bank, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Century 21 Affiliates, and the YWCA Rock County.
Bue says it will take place on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
The free event will feature children’s activities, a bilingual story time, face-painting, prizes, candy, and every child under 12 will receive a book.
