A new program from the Janesville Art League is highlighting how digital photography has impacted citizen science.
JAL Member and Presenter Ann Peder Reilly says she is a member of the DNR’s Bumble Bee Brigade, and this presentation will showcase the bumble bees of Southern Wisconsin including photos and videos.
Peder Reilly says advancements in technology and digital photography have allowed for quicker and more accurate photos of bumble bees, which can be very helpful in identifying species at a time when bee populations are struggling.
The free presentation takes place Tuesday at 11:00am at the Janesville Woman’s Club.
