In Celebration of Earth and Arbor Day, Nature at the Confluence in South Beloit is giving way oak tree saplings.
Executive Director Julie Uram says they’re giving out more saplings than ever with 375 red, bur, white oak and hickory saplings, as well as information on each tree type and instructions on how to plant the saplings.
Uram says the trees are donated by Living Lands and Waters, a partner organization which has the goal planting a million trees along the Rock River.
The giveaways take place April 21st from noon until 4:00pm, and the 22nd from 9:00 until 11:00am.
