The City of Fort Atkinson is accepting applications from qualified residents to fill a one-year term on the City Council.
The appointment would run through April of next year, at which point an election will be held to fill the remainder of the term which runs through 2025.
The vacancy was created when Megan Hartwick stepped down from the council on April 18th after being re-elected on April 6th, despite withdrawing from the race in February.
The deadline to submit applications to fill the council vacancy is May 5th.
