The American Red Cross is drawing attention to Trauma Awareness Month in May.
Regional Communications Director Laura McGuire says the American Red Cross especially needs Type O blood.
McGuire says Type O negative blood is the universal blood type, and Type O positive is the most-used blood type.
McGuire says anyone who donates blood through May 19th will receive a free gift card to a merchant of choice.
Blood drives are happening Tuesday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edgerton; and from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the United Auto Worker Local 95 Union Hall in Janesville.
