Janesville City Council recognizes National Police Week

Rock County law enforcement officers come together to honor their fallen brothers and sisters from around the state next week.
The Janesville City Council passes a resolution declaring May 14th through the 20th as National Police Week and May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day.
The resolution was accepted by Officer Jacob Seuferer on behalf of the entire Janesville Police Department.
Seuferer says for officers have already been killed this year. That’s a high number for any year, let alone the first five months in the year.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the annual Rock County Law Enforcement Memorial Service on May 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center in Janesville.
