The preliminary hearing is delayed for a 29-year-old Janesville woman facing drug and child neglect charges, after police found her passed out in a home with deplorable conditions, leaving two children unattended.
Hailey Brown is charged with two counts of neglecting a child, possession of narcotics, possession of THC, two counts of bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In Rock County Court Monday morning Court Commissioner Jack Hoag scheduled an adjourned initial appearance on Friday where Brown would be free to argue bail.
Officers found two children unattended inside a home while Hailey Brown was sleeping so hard a squad car siren didn’t wake her.
Janesville Police say conditions inside the home were deplorable and there was marijuana, heroin, and drug paraphernalia out in plain view.
