Janesville Police Officer saves a man’s life

A 19-year-old man has a Janesville Police Officer to thank for saving his life, after he collapsed in March at the Janesville Athletic Club.

Deputy Chief Chad Pearson says Officer Jonathan Williams started to perform C-C-R on on the patient who was not breathing, and didn’t have a pulse.

Deputy Chief Chad Pearson says the man regained consciousness and was talking when paramedics arrived.

Deputy Chief Chad Pearson says paramedics confirmed that Officer’s Williams’ C-C-R was the primary contributing factor for the patient regaining consciousness.

A commendation from Police Chief David Moore was presented to Officer Williams earlier this week.
