A reconstruction project on a major thoroughfare in Downtown Janesville remains on schedule.
Project Engineer Colten Tuescher says the East Milwaukee Street project has been able to avoid any major hiccups through the first few weeks of work, and crews have been removing pavement and miscellaneous items like lamp posts.
Tuescher says this week and next week crews will continue to work on water service replacement and side street tie ins, and the current layout of closed streets and intersections will be in place for quite a while.
Tuescher says the project is still on target to be wrapped up late September or early October of this year.
