Split vote on debt ceiling bill

Two local Congressman disagree on the merits of the debt ceiling bill.  First District Representative Bryan Steil voted in favor of the Fiscal Responsibility Act.  The Republican called the legislation the first step in the right direction to limit the out of control spending in Washington harming American families through higher prices and more debt.  Second District Representative Mark Pocan voted against the bill.  The Democrat says the bill severely restrains domestic spending while continuing to inflate unchecked defense spending.  The bill easily passed the House Wednesday night on a strong bipartisan vote.
