Rock County is seeking community members to join its Ad Hoc Committee on Passenger Rail Development.
County Board Supervisor Jim Farrell says it’s a very complex process and there’s a number of reports which have been done, some members of the group will have to review those and come to a consensus on what they want to do.
Farrell says there is a lot of federal money available, so now is a great time to try and get this possibility off the ground, and the only way the county will ever have a chance is to have an assertive group.
Farrell says they haven’t yet determined when the group will meet or how many times a month, but people can apply on the county’s website until 8am Friday.
