HealthNet to receive Wisconsin Oral Health Program funds

The Wisconsin Oral Health Program has awarded grant money to 14 non profits throughout the state, including HealthNet of Rock County.
Dental Clinic Director Cori Tucker says this new funding is directly for increasing access to care and will help support the pay for dentists, dental hygienists, and support staff.
Tucker says the money will also towards the Workforce Development Youth Apprenticeship program, which will see two local high school students receive training in dental assistance while they are receiving funding.
HealthNet will receive $127,000 a year starting in 2024 and lasting through 2026.
