Downtown Janesville welcomed back the Town Square Gran Prix all day Thursday.
Velo Club President Paul Murphy says they saw a great up-tick in participants compared to last year, with more than 420 racers this year compared to a little more than 300 last year.
Murphy says even though they made some changes to the course this year due to construction and other factors, they heard great feedback on the course with one group from Canada even calling the roads the best they’ve ever ridden on.
Murphy says they’ll have a better idea on attendance once the Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau puts together their data.
