For the third year in a row Project 16:49 will be holding a 5K run and walk in an effort to raise money to support homeless youth in the community.
Executive Director Tammy DeGarmo says in year one they were able to raise $11,000, last year they raised almost $18,000, and this year they’re hoping to cross the $20,000 mark.
DeGarmo says they still have openings for people to sign up and be sponsors, but they have to do some before the end of June so they can be included on promotion and marketing materials during July and August.
