Mercyhealth cuts the ribbon on its new Kidney Care and Dialysis Center.
Vice President of Support Operations and Construction Joanna Benning says a third floor was added to the Michael Berry building in Janesville.
Included in the new space is a new 12,000 square-foot dialysis and nephrology center with patient consultation rooms, special treatment rooms for compromised patients, three treatment rooms for patients needing urgent peritoneal dialysis, and 20 dialysis bays with state-of-the-art technology.
The building bears the name of Sister Michael Berry, the administrator of the then stand-alone Mercy Hospital. Sister Michael preceded Javon Bea who assumed the position in 1989.
