A 33 year old Beloit man is under arrest for multiple drug charges after a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release, shortly after 4:00pm Wednesday a Rock County Deputy stopped a 2015 black Chrysler 200 on East Hart Road in Turtle Township and utilized his canine partner Kamo to obtain probable cause for the search of the vehicle.
The search of Edwin Ruiz’s vehicle turned up 170 grams of cocaine and Ruiz was subsequently arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and maintaining a drug vehicle.
Following the arrest, a search warrant was obtained for Ruiz’s Beloit residence and a search there found two firearms and an additional 96 grams of cocaine.
Ruiz is due for his initial appearance in Rock County court Friday afternoon.
