Current downtown Janesville businesses or businesses thinking of relocating to the area may be interested a grant program through the Downtown Janesville Business Improvement District.
Executive Director Lawan Glasscock says the grant provides assistance for the maintenance, rehabilitation, and upgrading of existing properties as well as nurture business growth by inviting new businesses to the downtown.
Glasscock says for the first time they are making it so applications can be submitted year-round, and the maximum award is $1,000 or up to 50% in matching funds.
