The City of Janesville begins to prepare for Police Chief David Moore’s departure in September.
The Police and Fire Commission met this week and directed the City’s Human Resources Department to lead the search for a new chief.
Faust says it’s expected to be a national search that garners candidates both internally and externally.
Faust says there’s no word yet on who might serve as police chief in the interim.
